Rural Roots Rehabilitation is not just another pelvic floor clinic, it is a single family run business that has a true passion for holistic based care. Rural Roots was created on the basis of bringing speciality care back to my roots in a rural community. I am excited about the opportunity to help you with your pelvic floor therapy and welcoming you to the Rural Roots community!

Welcome to Rural Roots! I am Amber Miller, Occupational Therapist/Owner. I grew up in rural north Missouri. My health professions career began as a nurse. I attained my LPN at North Central Missouri College, in Trenton, MO. It was through nursing that I found my love for women’s health, but also discovered something new, occupational therapy. I loved the idea of holistic therapy and helping people in a different way. I obtained my Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO in 2012. Since this time, I’ve worked in multiple settings varying from inpatient, outpatient, home health, geriatrics, and pediatrics. After I returned “home” to rural north Missouri, I noticed limited access available to specialty services, such as pelvic floor therapy, without a two hour drive to the city. This is what sparked me to pursue my passion between women’s health and occupational therapy. I began specializing in pelvic floor in 2016. I then became certified in pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercises in 2020. I have started successful pelvic floor programs at two critical access hospitals prior to launching my own mobile private pay clinic for pelvic floor therapy clients in 2025. I focus on treating women ages 18 and older addressing a range of conditions, including but not limited to: diastasis recti, urinary incontinence, urinary urgency, fecal urgency, fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic pain, constipation, hip pain, low back pain, pain with intercourse, pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, pain associated with endometriosis, SI dysfunction, pudendal neuralgia, coccyx pain, and returning to exercise postpartum. If you are having any of these symptoms that are affecting your life, I’d love to connect and help you live your life to the fullest!
When I am not working you can find me spending time with my family. My husband and our three children love all things outdoors. You can likely find us at the golf course, camping, running, hiking, swimming, or at a local community event.
